© DORRIS HARON KASCO Kasco photographed the mentally ill in Abidjan. He first visited them without his camera and tried to learn to understand their way of living and manner of thinking. In Africa people often think that these people are possessed by a demon or a deity, and they are even driven out of some villages. They then travel to the city, where they are abandoned to their fate.

© TOM BUTLER "I am fascinated by the process of Conspicuous Invisibility: the simultaneous human desire to both hide and perform. In a visual way, I collect memories, thresholds and hiding places and attempt to re-manufacture them. My work expresses my natural inclination towards introversion and the opposition of displaying artwork essentially about hiding." artist from ParisPhoto16

© HENKS VAN RENSBERGEN Is a a photographer he explores the empty buildings of our times, an urban world where mankind has disappeared. The photos show the silent beauty and the macabre decay of these places, sometimes revealing their secrets. I'm really interested in abandoned places so he is definitely one of my favorites.

© HENKS VAN RENSBERGEN "No Man's Land" What if mankind suddenly disapeared from the earth ? How would the animals relate to what we leave behind ?

"Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Childern': This young adult book was originally intended to be a picture book featuring photographs Riggs had collected, but on the advice of an editor at Quirk Books, he used the photographs as a guide from which to put together a narrative. It's one of my favorite books because it is so unique with the photographs. I find the photographs so fascinating, I like the mysterious 'creepy' vibe in the Photographs, it inspires me to make a series by myself.

©THE1975: It may sound weird for some people that a certain band can be an inspiration to someone, but this band has to me. They have been one of my biggest inspirations for a couple of years, besides their music I really love their artwork and aesthetic. And all of that together makes them inspire me in so many ways.
